IT Field Engineer
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire – with travel to customer sites
Salary: £30,000 – £45,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are looking for an experienced IT Field Engineer to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP).
The role combines on-site customer support, remote IT support and infrastructure projects. You will install and maintain networks, servers and other IT systems while troubleshooting technical issues.

- Provide remote and on-site IT support.
- Install and maintain Cisco/Fortinet routers, switches and firewalls.
- Manage Windows and virtual servers.
- Support Microsoft 365, Azure and Hyper-V.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
- Work directly with customers and maintain accurate IT documentation.
- Support infrastructure and IT projects.
Requirements
- Previous IT Support or Field Engineer experience.
- Good networking and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure and/or Hyper-V.
- Cisco/Fortinet experience is desirable.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
