IT Field Service Engineer

Enterprise Hardware, Servers, Storage & Networking

South West England – Field Based

Up to £40,000 + Company Vehicle + Annual Bonus + Private Healthcare + Life Insurance + Pension + Excellent Benefits


Excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Field Service Engineer with a background in enterprise hardware, networking or telephony to join a rapidly growing technology services provider offering excellent training, varied technical work and long-term career progression.


This company is a leading provider of enterprise IT infrastructure services, supporting an established network of technology partners and customers across the UK and internationally. Following continued growth, they are expanding their field engineering operation and investing heavily in their technical capabilities. They also have a great track record taking engineers from the Armed Forces and training them in this area.

In this varied role, you will travel to customer sites across the South West to maintain, diagnose and repair enterprise servers, storage, networking and telephony equipment. You will also support infrastructure installations and technical projects, working across products from manufacturers including Cisco, Fortinet, HPE, Dell and Oracle.


The Role:

  • Field-based installation, maintenance and repair of enterprise IT infrastructure
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, network and telephony faults
  • Work across servers, storage, networking, cabling and voice technologies
  • Support technical projects and infrastructure installations
  • Cover customer sites throughout South West England
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency call-out rota

The Person:

  • Experience supporting enterprise IT hardware, networking, servers, storage or telephony
  • Strong fault-finding, triage and diagnostic abilities
  • Field service or customer-site engineering experience
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, HPE, Dell or Oracle equipment would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comfortable with occasional overtime, weekend work and emergency call-outs
