IT Field Service Engineer

Enterprise Hardware, Servers, Storage & Networking

Wales – Field Based

Up to £40,000 + Company Vehicle + Annual Bonus + Private Healthcare + Life Insurance + Pension + Excellent Benefits


Excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Field Service Engineer with knowledge of enterprise hardware, networking or telephony to join a growing technology services provider offering excellent training, varied work and long-term progression.


This company provides enterprise technology support to an established network of IT partners and customers across the UK and internationally. Due to continued expansion, they are building their field engineering presence in Wales and investing in engineers who want to broaden their technical knowledge. They also have a great track record taking engineers from the Armed Forces and training them in this area.

In this varied role, you will:

  • Travel to customer sites throughout Wales to install, maintain and repair enterprise servers, storage, networking and telephony equipment
  • Diagnose technical incidents, complete hardware break-fix work and support the delivery of wider infrastructure projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Practical experience working with enterprise IT hardware, networking, servers, storage or voice technologies
  • Comfort working independently at customer sites
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • A full UK driving licence

The Role:

  • Install, maintain and repair enterprise IT and telecommunications equipment
  • Diagnose hardware, network, server, storage and voice-related incidents
  • Deliver hardware break-fix support against agreed service levels
  • Assist with cabling, infrastructure installations and technical projects
  • Cover customer sites throughout Wales
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency call-out rota

The Person:

  • Experience with enterprise IT hardware, networking, servers, storage or telephony
  • Practical fault-finding, triage and diagnostic skills
  • Previous field engineering or customer-site support experience
  • Cisco, Fortinet, HPE, Dell, Oracle, CCNA or CompTIA knowledge would be advantageous
  • Flexible around occasional overtime, weekend work and call-outs
