IT Governance Analyst

Location: Solihull; a flexible hybrid working model which supports you as well as enabling you to work collaboratively with your colleagues

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

We're looking for an organised and analytical IT Governance Analyst to help strengthen the governance and oversight of our IT applications and assets. Working closely with IT teams and stakeholders across the business, you'll support governance activities, maintain accurate records and reporting, and help ensure our IT estate remains compliant with Group standards and regulatory requirements. You'll also play a key role in identifying opportunities to improve governance processes and reduce operational risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the governance and oversight of IT applications and assets, ensuring compliance with Group governance standards and local procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventories, governance documentation and lifecycle records, identifying gaps and following up on outstanding actions.
  • Produce dashboards, management information and reporting to provide visibility of governance activity and emerging risks.
  • Work with IT Owners to ensure governance requirements, documentation and lifecycle activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the identification, monitoring and escalation of governance risks, control gaps and non-compliance issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT governance processes, including supporting cloud governance and sustainable IT initiatives.

Skills & Attributes

  • Experience within IT governance, risk, controls, audit, compliance, application management or a similar discipline.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience interpreting data and producing meaningful reports and management information.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to provide guidance and constructive challenge.
  • Good understanding of IT governance, application lifecycle management, risk management or control frameworks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
