OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
The IT Graduate will support the delivery, development, and continuous improvement of OnPath's technology services. The role will provide assistance across IT support, systems administration, cyber security, business applications, reporting, process improvement, and technology projects.
Working closely with other staff across the IT team, the postholder will gain practical experience across multiple technology disciplines whilst contributing to the delivery of secure, reliable, and efficient technology solutions that support business operations and strategic objectives.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT Support
- Provide hands on technical support and advice to users/devices across the business in person and remotely on a wide range of productivity, collaboration, and custom software.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot laptops, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Escalate complex issues to internal teams or vendors as appropriate.
- Assist with hardware deployments and replacements.
- Utilise an ITSM tool to record and maintain incidents, changes, and assets.
- Monitor network performance and availability.
- Support and monitor the network, cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
User Administration
- Create and manage user accounts across relevant business systems.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain user permissions in accordance with company policies and best practice.

Cyber Security
- Assist in monitoring and resolving security alerts and incidents.
- Participate in security awareness initiatives and user education.
- Support vulnerability remediation and patch management activities.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support delivery of IT projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Document processes, procedures, and technical standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve user experience and efficiency.
- Assist with testing new technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
- Contribute ideas for process automation and operational improvements.
Business Applications & Systems
- Assist with the maintenance and support of business-critical applications.
- Support testing and deployment of application enhancements and new functionality.
Software Development Exposure
- Assist with application development activities.
- Participate in testing, debugging, and enhancement of business applications.
- Learn software development practices, documentation standards and change management processes.
- Support maintenance and modernisation of existing applications.
- Assist with developing integrations between systems where appropriate.
- Assist with the preparation of business reports and data extracts.
- Help develop dashboards and reporting solutions.

- ITSM incidents, changes and projects completed accurately within anticipated timelines.
- Positive user satisfaction feedback.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and asset records.
- Compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Demonstration of continuous technical improvement.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
IT GRADUATE
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
- Understanding of Microsoft Windows, Android, IOS operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts.
- Awareness of cyber security principles.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies.
- Knowledge of common IT hardware and troubleshooting.
Desirable
- Industry certifications such as: Microsoft formal qualifications, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of DBMS (SQL Server) and relational databases.
- Awareness of application and hardware support.
