We’re Hiring: Head of Technology (UK) | Scale-up Consumer Finance

Are you a battle-tested Fintech Tech Leader with deep expertise in UK FCA-regulated consumer lending?

A leading global consumer finance group is expanding its footprint and building a brand-new UK team from the ground up! We are looking for a Head of Technology to define, lead, and deliver our UK tech strategy, infrastructure, and operational resilience.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, digital-first environment and excel at bridging business strategy with global engineering teams, this is your opportunity to build something impactful.

💡 Key Responsibilities:

  • Tech Vision & Strategy: Define and own the UK technology roadmap, aligned with FCA regulatory expectations and Group strategy.
  • Architecture & Integrations: Lead system architecture, local integrations (CRAs, Open Banking, Payments, Collections, Cloud), and internal IT operations.
  • Cross-Border Delivery & Governance: Act as the primary technical bridge between the UK business and our parent company’s global dev hub, governing outsourced delivery and establishing robust SLAs.
  • Operational Resilience: Lead incident management, disaster recovery (DR), business continuity planning (BCP), and ensure top-tier system uptime, security, and latency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Finance to ensure scalability and good customer outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
