IT Help Desk Technician

Description
Moore is a leading Irish provider of accountancy and advisory services for smart, commercially ambitious enterprises seeking the highest standards in client service and expertise. We are currently seeking to recruit an IT Help Desk Technician to join our team in Dublin to support ongoing growth. The role focuses on providing high-quality services to our internal teams.
The duties of the Technician include:
- Provide on-site IT support to our Dublin City Centre and Dun Laoghaire office locations.
- Responding to helpdesk tickets via phone, email, or support portal.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues (PCs, printers, networks, etc.).
- Managing user accounts and permissions (Local Active Directory and MS Entra).
- Assisting with system updates, antivirus scans, and patch management.
- Escalating complex issues to higher-tier support or specialized teams.
- Documenting issues, solutions, and support processes in knowledge bases.
- Setting up new workstations, user profiles, and access credentials.
- Providing support for VPN, Wi-Fi, and remote access.
- Educating users on IT policies, procedures, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ad hoc and project-based support to other locations (Galway and Cork) based on business needs.

Demonstrable Experience and Qualifications Required:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in IT support or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and basic networking.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred but not always required).
- Certifications (optional but valuable):
- CompTIA A+ – entry-level hardware/software support.
- CompTIA Network+ – basic networking knowledge.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals
- ITIL Foundation – for understanding service management frameworks.
