Purpose
Providing IT and technical support in line with the company’s business requirements. This role is to strengthen and add resource to the Client and Help Desk support assisting the IT Team in ensuring the provision of timely and robust solutions to various stakeholders, to provide good customer service and support to all stakeholders, to establish and maintain clear communications with external suppliers and internal departments. To facilitate and improve support and the development of new functionality in-line with business needs.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Working on projects and initiatives, both local and global in scope alongside other IT functions.
- Building laptops/PCs for use in the plant.
- Replacing/resolving failed peripherals across the plant.
- Resolving issues with usage of software primarily Microsoft products.
- Installing/managing non-standard software e.g., JMP, APF.
- Managing telephones (mobile phones, and desk phones).
- Performing desk moves.
- On and off boarding of staff.
- Maintaining inventory of IT equipment and software.
- Develop knowledge of the Company’s business processes.
- Develop knowledge of the capabilities of the software available.
- Deliver application solutions that perform in line with their system service levels.
- Take ownership of issues related to Infrastructure solutions.
- Provide support to the user base, resolving issues and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Define and develop new functionality in line with business needs.

- Degree or equivalent experience in IT or equivalent discipline.
- Proficient in written & spoken English.
- Diagnosing and resolving problems.
- Excellent written and documentation skills.
- Involving in cross site related activities including but not limited to:
- Working with other IT members in different locations.
- New project initiatives from headquarters or region.
- Daily support for systems that you are responsible for.
- Supporting IT and Diodes as needs arise:
- Assisting and sharing expertise as and when required.
- Supporting the IT team and Diodes with emergencies or requirements that may align with valuable skillset, and experience.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High levels of self-motivation and flexibility.
- Ability to develop strong relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Highly organized approach, accurate with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proactive and forward-thinking mentality. Striving for improvement and upholding quality and standards.
