What is this role about?

The Assistant Infrastructure Management professional is responsible for the physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of core IT infrastructure, including structured cabling, server room hardware, and network components. This role provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to ensure high-speed connectivity and business continuity while assisting in the administration of directory services and cloud-connected systems. By managing asset documentation and performing proactive monitoring of data center environments, they play a critical role in protecting data integrity and optimizing system uptime.

What will YOU do?

  • Install structured cabling (Cat6, Fiber) and network drops in offices and branches to provide high-speed, reliable physical connectivity for all end-user devices.
  • Maintain cable management systems within server racks and under-desk environments to prevent signal interference, overheating, and accidental disconnections.
  • Assist in installing and configuring upgrades of hardware, software, and network components to support infrastructure scalability and technological relevance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve L1-L2 system and network issues to minimize downtime.
  • Assist on implementing and managing data backups, disaster recovery, and failover processes to support business continuity and data integrity.
  • Assist in supporting and maintaining LANs, WANs, firewalls, VPNs, and other network components to provide secure and reliable connectivity across all company sites.
  • Manage authentication, authorization, and access control for directory services to protect sensitive company data and infrastructure from unauthorized access.

What will YOU need?

  • Basic Project Management and Business Analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint), Confluence, or Google Workspace for creating training materials and user guides
  • Experience in maintaining a cost-effective IT/OT infrastructure in offices, branch offices, Oil terminals, Oil Depots, and plants
  • Preferred Certification skills: Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, etc.
  • Basic working knowledge in both On-prem and Cloud environment
  • Basic working knowledge in Structured Cabling
  • Knowledge in industry's best practices in Infrastructure Management
