Salary: £60k - £75k per annum Location: Cardiff Working pattern: Hybrid

We’re working with a growing organisation that is investing heavily in its technology function and looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day IT environment. This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the technology while also taking responsibility for wider IT operations, security, suppliers and governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of the organisation’s Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online and OneDrive.
  • Managing Entra ID / Azure AD, including MFA, Conditional Access and user access controls.
  • Supporting and improving the organisation’s cybersecurity environment, including Microsoft Defender, DLP and endpoint security.
  • Managing access, configuration and integrations across key business applications.
  • Acting as a senior point of escalation for more complex technical issues and incidents.
  • Working with external IT providers, technology partners and vendors to ensure services are delivered effectively.
  • Managing supplier relationships, service levels, technical issues and ongoing performance.
  • Supporting IT governance, change management, documentation and audit requirements.
  • Helping maintain strong business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
  • Supporting the controlled introduction of new technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled tools.
  • Working with colleagues across the organisation to improve the way technology is used and provide guidance around security and best practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
