The Role
The Infrastructure and Network Analyst is part of our Infrastructure team working across all aspects of the multi-site, hybrid V&A Technology Infrastructure. This is an exciting and varied opportunity to work across support and delivery as we transition our estate from virtualised on-prem to cloud hosted infrastructure. Network operations include day to day support of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and firewall environments with our external partners, as well as delivery of network changes. Infrastructure activities include monitoring and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers within a VMWare environment, NetApp solutions, general support of Microsoft infrastructure environment including Entra, ADFS, and Azure, monitoring and administration of multiple backup products, and various other solutions such as VPN, SolarWinds, and Citrix.
The post holder will have solid networking and infrastructure knowledge, great attention to detail and strong analytical skills. You will need a knowledge of DNS, DHCP and load balancing, network switch management and firewall management. The role will also require knowledge of MPLS network protocols. You will work closely with the Service Desk and Applications Support teams to provide 2nd and 3rd line operational support, and with the Enterprise Architecture, Product, Project and Information Security teams to deliver network and infrastructure changes in line with best practice.
