Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum

Entry-Level IT Logistics Assistant: £25,000 - £28,000
Experienced IT Logistics Assistant: £28,000 - £32,000

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic IT Logistics Assistant to join our IT Operations & Logistics team based at our Sutton Support Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for technology and wants to develop a career within IT operations, asset management and logistics. Supporting colleagues across our organisation, you'll play a key role in ensuring IT equipment is managed efficiently throughout its lifecycle, from deployment and stock control through to secure disposal.

Working within a supportive team environment, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience with a wide range of IT hardware while helping to deliver a high-quality service to our colleagues across multiple locations.

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Support stock management activities and inventory audits.
  • Prepare and configure laptops, desktops, thin clients and peripheral devices for users.
  • Assist with the setup and testing of networking equipment.
  • Package and dispatch IT equipment to stores, offices and remote colleagues.
  • Coordinate courier collections and deliveries.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding equipment repairs and replacement parts.
  • Support secure data wiping and compliant hardware disposal processes.
  • Maintain safe, organised storage areas for IT equipment and spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and WEEE regulations.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
  • A genuine interest in technology and IT hardware.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely handle and move IT equipment when required.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience in a technology-related or logistics environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
  • Working towards, or keen to pursue, an IT-related qualification.
