Description
About Us
At Tempcover, we believe insurance should never slow you down. Especially during life’s most unexpected moments. We offer fast, flexible temporary insurance with no long-term commitment: temporary car insurance, short-term van insurance and learner driver insurance.
We’ve helped over 4 million drivers get on the road, and we’re just getting into gear. We’re now growing our team for the next phase of our journey. If you’ve got the drive to match and want to help shape the future of driving and insurance, we’d love to hear from you.
We create value in everything we do, for customers and our business. We push boundaries, staying miles ahead of the game. We win together, backing each other to do our best work.
Key Responsibilities
- Identity and access. You will run Entra ID and Google Workspace as our two core platforms, owning SSO, MFA, conditional access and group structure, and keeping the relationship between the two clean rather than accreted.
- The endpoint fleet. Around 75 users across macOS and Windows, managed entirely through Intune. Enrolment, compliance policy, patching, encryption and app deployment, plus the hardware lifecycle from procurement to secure disposal.
- Access lifecycle across roughly 70 SaaS tools, from core business systems through to Slack and Claude. Today a lot of this is manual. You will make provisioning and deprovisioning repeatable, ideally by scripting against vendor APIs rather than clicking through admin consoles.
- IT as a service the business can rely on. You will run budgeting, stand up our own service management and asset tooling with sensible SLAs, and build joiners, movers and leavers into a process that produces evidence rather than reassurance.
- Vendor and contract management. You own the relationship with our IT suppliers end to end: contracts, renewals, pricing and performance, not just provisioning access to what they provide.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
What we need from you
- Deep, current, hands-on Intune experience across both macOS and Windows.
- Strong Entra ID administration and tenant-level Google Workspace administration.
- Scripting in PowerShell, Python or Bash. We believe in automation and are currently using n8n to speed up processes.
- You have built joiners, movers and leavers, access reviews or asset management somewhere they did not previously exist.
- You have managed and developed at least one person, and can talk specifically about how.
- Comfort picking up complex technical work already in motion, rather than starting from a clean slate.
- Stakeholder communication - you can write clearly for a non-technical audience and have run comms for a change or migration that affected the whole company.
- Owning an IT budget: forecasting hardware refresh cycles, SaaS renewals and headcount-driven costs, and making the trade-offs visible when priorities compete.
- Sitting with other teams to understand what they're actually trying to achieve, then proposing and building the automation or integration that gets them there, rather than waiting to be handed a spec.
