Hybrid Working (4 days office / 1 day home)
Are you an experienced IT professional looking for an opportunity where you can genuinely shape the future of technology within a growing business?
Aspire Recruitment is partnering with an established, multi-site organisation to recruit an IT Manager who will play a pivotal role in both the day-to-day delivery of IT services and the long-term development of the company's technology strategy.
This is a rare opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also influencing the bigger picture. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead the gradual transition of IT services in-house, helping to build and develop an internal function that supports the future growth of the business.
As the organisation's IT Manager, you'll be the go-to person for all things technology, supporting employees across multiple UK locations while driving strategic improvements to infrastructure, systems, processes and cyber security.
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, external IT providers and colleagues at all levels, combining technical expertise with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, equally comfortable resolving day-to-day IT challenges as they are planning future projects, implementing improvements and influencing business wide technology decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
