IT Manager – Fully Remote, UK

Permanent | Fully Remote | Exceptional Flexibility

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to take overall responsibility for the governance, performance, security and development of a fully outsourced IT environment.

The organisation operates through a Managed Service Provider (MSP) which delivers the full infrastructure and IT support provision. The IT Manager will act as the internal owner of this service, ensuring the MSP delivers against agreed standards, providing strong value for money and continually improving the service.

The role will also have organisational ownership of an outsourced Salesforce platform, ensuring it remains secure, effective, well governed and aligned with business needs.

This is a strategic and relationship-led role, requiring someone who can confidently manage suppliers, challenge delivery, control risk and translate technology into clear business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

MSP & Supplier Management

  • Own the relationship with the organisation’s MSP and other technology suppliers.
  • Manage service performance against SLAs, KPIs, contracts and agreed service standards.
  • Challenge and negotiate supplier performance, pricing, scope and service provision.
  • Lead regular service reviews and ensure agreed improvements are delivered.
  • Manage escalations, major incidents and service risks.
  • Oversee contract renewals, commercial negotiations and supplier changes.
  • Ensure the organisation receives appropriate value, quality and flexibility from its outsourced provision.

IT Governance, Risk & Security

  • Maintain oversight of the organisation’s IT environment, despite infrastructure and support being externally managed.
  • Identify, manage and report IT, cybersecurity and supplier risks.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place across identity and access management, data protection, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Work with the MSP and other suppliers to manage security incidents, vulnerabilities and remediation.
  • Provide clear assurance and risk reporting to senior leadership.
  • Ensure IT services remain compliant with relevant regulatory and organisational requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
