IT Manager Required Near Hertford
Paying up to £55,000 basic, £60,000 OTE
An established international manufacturer is seeking an IT Manager near Hertford to take full ownership of its IT function, managing one person responsible for 65 users spread across 5 countries.
About the Role
This is not a keep the lights on role. You will set the direction, make the calls, and see the results play out across every part of the business, from the warehouse floor to the boardroom.
You will lead a small UK-based IT team supporting sites across the UK, France, and the US, plus a worldwide sales network. Expect real autonomy and direct access to the CEO and senior leadership.

Responsibilities
The role spans infrastructure, systems, and business applications. Most of the estate sits in AWS (EC2, RDS, VPC, S3), alongside Windows Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, and networking.
- Manage their ERP system covering supply chain and warehousing.
- Support Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
- Oversee internal web applications built on MSSQL and MySQL.
Security and budget sit with you. You will own IT security across the organization and deal directly with suppliers on cost and value.
Requirements
We need solid experience as an IT Manager or equivalent, ideally with broad ownership in a small or lean team. ERP experience is essential; Syspro is a strong plus.

- Preferred: AWS, though Azure or GCP will be considered.
- Must be confident with Active Directory, enterprise networking, and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- A track record managing IT security, budgets, and supplier negotiations is essential.
