Reporting to the Group Technical Director, the IT Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day IT operations across the business, ensuring the stable, secure, and effective delivery of infrastructure, end-user support, business systems, supplier management, and continuous IT service improvement.

The role is responsible for translating business and technology strategy into operational delivery, managing both internal and third-party resources, and ensuring that IT services, standards, security controls, and change initiatives are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day IT operations across the business, ensuring reliable support for infrastructure, devices, business applications, networks, and end users.
  • Implement IT strategy, standards, and policies in line with business priorities and the Group Technical Director's direction.
  • Manage internal IT resources and third-party suppliers, including service performance, issue escalation, delivery coordination, and accountability against agreed outcomes.
  • Oversee infrastructure and hardware operations, including network services, servers, storage, workstation and device management, and core office technology.
  • Ensure the effective administration and support of software and business applications, including Microsoft 365, ERP, and other business-critical platforms.
  • Maintain strong oversight of cybersecurity, data protection, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity arrangements.
  • Take ownership of IT service performance, including incident management, support responsiveness, prioritisation, monitoring, and the continual improvement of support processes.
  • Manage IT budgets, operational expenditure, licence costs, and supplier-related spend, escalating items requiring higher approval where necessary.
  • Plan and coordinate IT projects, upgrades, rollouts, and change initiatives, ensuring structured delivery, effective stakeholder engagement, and minimal disruption to the business.
  • Work closely with department leaders to understand operational requirements, support technology adoption, and align IT delivery with business processes and growth plans.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained for systems, services, policies, risks, decisions, and operational procedures.
  • Provide regular reporting on service performance, project progress, resource utilisation, risks, incidents, and compliance status.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
