Job Overview

Are you looking for your next opportunity within the IT function at Mitie?

We are seeking an experienced and driven IT Manager to support the delivery of technology services across the JPECCS contract in Scotland.

This role is critical in ensuring IT services are aligned to front-line operational needs across courts, custody suites, and escorting bases. Acting as the key interface between operational teams and IT, you will ensure technology solutions are effective, secure, and enable safe and efficient service delivery.

You will work closely with stakeholders including SPS, operational teams, and suppliers, while travelling across locations to maintain strong visibility and relationships.

Main Duties

  • Act as the primary link between operational teams and IT, ensuring IT services meet contract and operational requirements
  • Lead the delivery of site-based IT solutions, managing projects end-to-end
  • Oversee IT service delivery, incidents, and project activity in line with service levels and priorities
  • Coordinate internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain IT project plans, providing structured updates and governance reporting
  • Engage key stakeholders to understand requirements and proactively identify future IT needs
  • Travel across operational sites to ensure alignment with front-line delivery
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and contractual requirements
  • Identify and manage IT risks, escalating issues where necessary
  • Support operational processes such as starters/leavers, supplier access, and system usage
  • Drive continuous improvement of IT services, performance, and user experience

What we are looking for

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and collaborative individual who can deliver high-quality IT services in a complex operational environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
