About the Role
My client is a leading international financial services organisation seeking an experienced IT Network Hosting Services Engineering Lead to join a major infrastructure consolidation programme. This role will focus on the design, delivery, and optimisation of enterprise hosting environments across on-premise, cloud, internet-facing, and market data platforms. You will play a key role in a multi-year transformation programme focused on consolidating data centres, networks, hosting platforms, storage, and compute services across multiple business entities. The position requires strong hands-on technical capability combined with architecture and engineering leadership experience.
Key Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in Network Engineering, Hosting Architecture, or Network Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking across L2-L7 technologies.
- Experience designing and supporting hosting environments across data centres, cloud, and internet-facing platforms.
- Proven expertise with AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or Oracle Cloud networking.
- Strong understanding of BGP, multicast, low-latency networking, and high-availability architectures.
- Experience supporting market data platforms, trading infrastructure, or real-time data distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of network security architecture, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 connectivity, SaaS integrations, and hybrid networking.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and business teams.
- Hands-on experience with network automation technologies such as Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, or API-driven platforms.

Nice to Have
- Financial Services, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets experience.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, exchange connectivity, or market data platforms.
- Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure consolidation, cloud migration, or data centre transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking environments and enterprise security platforms.

About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating within a complex transformation programme, driving hosting architecture decisions, supporting infrastructure consolidation initiatives, and delivering resilient, secure hosting platforms across critical business services.
