The Role

We’re looking for a proactive IT Officer (Cloud) to join our IT Team in Selkirk. In this pivotal role, you’ll act as the technical lead for SBHA’s Microsoft 365 environment, supporting and developing services including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Azure identity services. You’ll play a key role in ensuring colleagues can access the systems they need securely, efficiently and in line with best practice.

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and external technology partners, you’ll manage authentication and access controls, support collaboration platforms, maintain cloud security controls and help shape the future of our digital workplace. You’ll also contribute to the administration of the wider IT infrastructure, support disaster recovery and business continuity activities, and provide specialist expertise on cloud and identity services.

We're looking for somebody with experience of working with:

  • Microsoft 365/Azure administration, Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory.
  • Hybrid identity, enterprise applications, single sign-on, application registrations, and authentication technologies.
  • Conditional Access, MFA, privileged access, and Azure role-based access control.
  • SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams administration and permission management.
  • Microsoft Intune endpoint management and compliance.
  • Microsoft Windows 11, Windows Server and storage.
  • VMware vSphere and vCenter
  • DNS, DHCP, Firewall Access Control Lists, LAN/WAN fundamentals, network management and security.
  • Backup and disaster recovery processes.
