The Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Administrator to support the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Prevail Partners' IT systems and Microsoft 365 environment.
Reporting to the Solutions Engineer, you will support user lifecycle activities, endpoint management, systems administration and operational improvements while providing second-line technical support where required. The role also contributes to cybersecurity, governance, business projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical administration with customer-focused IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft's 365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID and Intune
- Provide second-line IT support, resolving technical incidents and service requests
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, account administration, licensing and access management
- Configure, deploy and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices and associated hardware
- Administer endpoint management policies, device compliance and application deployments
- Monitor system performance, identify recurring issues and recommend improvements
- Maintain IT asset registers, software licensing and device lifecycle records
- Work with third-party suppliers and managed service providers to coordinate support and technical escalations
- Support cybersecurity controls, identity and access management, and secure configuration standards
- Assist with business projects involving new technologies, infrastructure and systems
- Maintain IT documentation, procedures and technical standards
- Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity activities
- Deliver excellent customer service while meeting agreed service levels and internal KPIs
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and continually improve the end-user experience

Requirements
Essential Experience
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and identity and access management
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS devices
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or another endpoint management platform
- Experience administering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and Microsoft 365
- Experience managing user onboarding, offboarding and access requests
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practice
- Delivers excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Builds strong relationships across the business
- Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable Experience
- Minimum three years' experience in an IT Operations, Systems Administration or IT Support role
- Experience within defence, government or other security-focused organisations
- Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus or ISO27001
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- Familiarity with Conditional Access and Azure administration
- Microsoft certifications
