IT Operations and Security Manager

This role is not a project management role - responsibility for large-scale project delivery and prioritisation sits with the Senior Digital Programme Manager. Nor does the role have responsibility for the chargers, as they are overseen by our Network Operations team. Instead, the focus is on maintaining secure, stable, and well-run services for our business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations & Service Management:

• Own day-to-day IT operations and service delivery across the business.
• Work with our suppliers to ensure the availability and effective administration of Microsoft 365, business applications, devices and workplace technology (e.g. office video conferencing).
• Manage user onboarding, offboarding, permissions, licensing and access controls.
• Manage the IT asset lifecycle, including the IT asset register, procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.
• Oversee endpoint and device management, including laptops, mobile devices and asset tracking.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for IT incidents and service issues.
• Maintain backup, recovery, and business continuity arrangements.
• Ensure systems are documented, supportable, and operating effectively.
• Work closely with business teams and suppliers to continuously improve employee technology experience.
• Take ownership of our AWS and Azure instances with the support of our specialist suppliers
• Maintain ownership of our domains and their associated security certificates through our supplier

IT Security & Compliance:

• Own and continuously improve Be.EV's cyber security controls and practices.
• Manage identity and access security, including MFA, conditional access and least-privilege principles.
• Coordinate vulnerability management, patching, security monitoring and incident response activities.
• Lead security incident response, working with suppliers as required
• Maintain security policies, risk registers and compliance documentation.
• Support compliance with relevant regulatory and audit requirements.
• Coordinate security audits, penetration testing and supplier assurance activities.
• Review and respond to Subject Access Requests, collating any relevant data from employees and systems
• Promote security awareness and ensure employees understand their responsibilities.
• Work with suppliers to ensure systems remain secure, resilient and compliant.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management:

• Manage day-to-day relationships with IT suppliers and service partners.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels.
• Coordinate resolution of major incidents and service issues.
• Support the transition of new systems into operational support.
• Identify opportunities to improve service performance, efficiency and automation.
• Work with employees to adopt IT best practices, ensuring clear communication and support.
• Create and deliver presentations and IT training to teams across the business.
