Our client is looking for a Global IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager to lead the reliable and secure operation of its global technology estate.

You will manage an international infrastructure team, own core services across on-premises and cloud environments, and deliver infrastructure projects with internal stakeholders and external partners.

This role is focused on operational stability, project delivery and the continued improvement of a geographically distributed infrastructure estate.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a global team of system administrators, network engineers and cloud specialists, setting priorities and allocating resources across operational and project work.
- Own the availability, performance and security of servers, networks, data centres, cloud platforms, unified communications and related infrastructure services.
- Lead major incident response, root-cause analysis and corrective action, ensuring lessons are implemented and repeat failures are prevented.
- Establish effective monitoring, alerting and reporting that provides clear insight into infrastructure health, capacity and risk.
- Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, operational runbooks, configuration records and CMDB data.
- Deliver infrastructure projects from planning through to operational handover, including hardware refreshes, platform upgrades and cloud migrations.
- Own infrastructure budgets, forecasts, supplier performance, licensing and relevant contract negotiations.
- Strengthen disaster recovery, business continuity and backup arrangements, including Microsoft 365 and wider system recovery.
- Manage senior technical escalations, guiding the team through complex infrastructure issues while remaining close enough to the technology to challenge decisions.
- Shape the infrastructure roadmap with the Director of Infrastructure, balancing operational risk, business priorities and investment.
