Role: IT Operations Project Manager

Programme: Trading platform stability

Location: London (Hybrid)

Contract: Initial 6-month contract (long-term transformation programme)

Rate: £800-900/day (Inside IR35)

X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy trading organisation on a key programme focused on stability, operational readiness and service performance for a key in-house Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) system.

As IT Operations Project Manager, you'll own project delivery from design through to implementation and value realisation - leading cross-functional teams with a focus on stability, resilience and environment management.

Responsibilities for the IT Operations Project Manager

  • Own projects focused on service performance, stability, incidents, risk and OPEX, with strong infrastructure awareness across resilience, environments, release and change management
  • Define and manage Non-Functional Requirements and measurable operational outcomes
  • Identify delivery risks, root causes, process inefficiencies and systemic issues before they bite
  • Lead cross-functional teams through delivery and transition to BAU, communicating clearly with leadership and stakeholders throughout

  • Proven track record delivering technology/infrastructure projects into production, ideally within energy trading
  • Strong experience across stability, operational readiness, service performance, resilience and environment management
  • Skilled in planning, budgeting, dependency and risk management, plus executive stakeholder engagement and financial forecasting
