Profile Summary
Lead and develop the IT PMO function, ensuring it provides effective governance, financial management, reporting and portfolio oversight.
The role is responsible for defining what good looks like, raising standards across the PMO and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with Finance and senior IT leadership, the role will improve data quality, strengthen financial management and deliver consolidated management information and insights to support CIO decision-making.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the IT PMO function, operating model and services.
- Define and embed best practice across governance, reporting, financial management and portfolio oversight.
- Own the production and presentation of consolidated IT management information for the CIO and senior leadership teams.
- Coordinate the IT budget process, including planning, forecasting, tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with Finance to improve financial transparency, reporting accuracy and cost management.
- Drive improvements in data quality, data governance and management information.
- Analyse, challenge and explain financial, portfolio and operational data, identifying issues, trends and opportunities.
- Lead PMO transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build capability across the PMO team through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Influence stakeholders and drive change across the IT organisation.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Proven experience leading or transforming a PMO function.
- Strong financial management, budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Experience coordinating and managing portfolio or CTB investment budgets.
- Experience presenting executive-level reporting and insight to senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of data quality, management information and reporting controls.
Key Behaviours And Competencies
- Ability to interrogate complex financial and operational data and translate it into meaningful business insight.
- Strong understanding of what good looks like in a mature PMO environment.
- Demonstrable track record of driving organisational change and performance improvement.
The successful candidate will bring experience from mature PMO environments and will be expected to raise standards, challenge existing practices, improve data quality and deliver lasting improvements across governance, reporting, financial management and portfolio oversight.
