About the role

The PMO IT Lead is responsible for establishing and leading the IT Programme Management Office (PMO) for a large-scale business and technology transformation programme Atlas. The role ensures effective governance, planning, reporting, financial control, resource management, risk management, dependencies management and delivery assurance support across multiple workstreams and projects.

The PMO IT Lead acts as the central point of coordination between IT stakeholders, programme leadership, IT project managers, workstream leads, technology teams, vendors, business Leads and governance forums to ensure successful delivery of the programme. This role will work closely with the Transformation Office PMO and existing IT PMO.

What you’ll do

Programme Governance & Control

  • Establish and maintain programme governance frameworks, standards, and controls.
  • Supports and helps facilitate steering committees, programme boards, stage gate reviews, and executive governance forums.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational delivery methodologies and governance requirements.
  • Maintain programme documentation, decision logs, and audit readiness.

Planning, Integration & Delivery Control

  • Maintain the integrated master plan across all projects in Atlas, workstreams, suppliers and business activities for IT.
  • Define programme planning standards, assumptions, baselines, milestones and reporting cycles with the Transformation PMO.
  • Assure the quality and completeness of project plans before incorporation into the integrated master plan.
  • Identify and manage critical paths, cross-project milestones, schedule conflicts and business-to-technology integration points.
  • Assess the programme-wide impact of proposed scope, schedule, resource or solution changes before approval.
  • Track performance against approved scope, schedule and cost baselines, challenging unsupported forecasts and recovery assumptions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
