About the Role
Join our highly regarded IT Procurement team at an exciting time for the Group. As we continue our integration with Co-operative Bank, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to major transformation initiatives and help shape the future of IT procurement across a growing and evolving organisation.
As an IT Procurement Specialist, the role holder will support procurement activity across a diverse technology spend portfolio, supporting and leading sourcing exercises from supplier engagement through to negotiation and contract award. Working closely with colleagues across Procurement, IT and Change, the focus will be on delivering commercial value, encouraging innovation and managing risk through robust and compliant procurement practices.
The role will play a key part in supporting the delivery of sourcing strategies across areas of the IT supplier portfolio, identifying opportunities to improve value, enhance supplier performance and support the Group's long-term objectives. We operate a team-led hybrid approach, with colleagues typically spending 1-2 days per week in our Coventry office.

About You
We're looking for a confident and commercially minded procurement professional with proven IT or technology procurement experience. You'll enjoy building strong stakeholder and supplier relationships, negotiating successful commercial outcomes and identifying opportunities to deliver value and innovation.
You'll bring:
- Strong commercial awareness, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

For this role you'll need to have:

- Proven IT or technology procurement experience, with a track record of delivering successful sourcing and supplier negotiation outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across business and technology teams.
- A strong understanding of commercial models, sourcing methodologies and supplier management principles.
- Knowledge of commercial and regulatory considerations relevant to IT procurement.
- Experience managing procurement exercises, including supplier selection, tendering and contract negotiations.
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to prioritise workloads and deliver to deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
Experience in these areas would be helpful:
- MCIPS qualification or working towards CIPS accreditation.
- Experience developing and implementing category strategies.
- Knowledge of current trends within IT procurement and the wider technology market.
- Experience developing specifications, evaluation methodologies and sourcing documentation.
- Understanding of third-party risk management and IT outsourcing requirements.
