Infrastructure & Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Services
Shape the future of policing technology
We're looking for two IT Product Owners to join our Digital, Data and Technology team and help drive the delivery and continuous improvement of critical technology services that support frontline policing and the communities we serve.
These are exciting opportunities to take ownership of products that make a real difference. We have two roles available, with one focused on Infrastructure Services which includes cloud, networks, telephony, hosting and core infrastructure services and the other on ERP Services and associated business systems, integrations and technology services. While each role has a different area of focus, we're keen to hear from experienced Product Owners from a wide range of technology backgrounds. You do not need to have extensive experience in both specialisms to apply.
As a Product Owner, you will work at the heart of technology, bringing together stakeholders, users, suppliers and technical teams to ensure products deliver maximum value. You will be accountable for the product direction, governance, lifecycle management and continuous improvement of a portfolio of technology products and services. You will play a key role in shaping product roadmaps, influencing investment decisions and ensuring technology continues to meet organisational and operational needs.
You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, shaping technology product roadmaps and helping us deliver innovative solutions that enhance the technology for colleagues across the organisation.

- Lead the development and continuous improvement of a portfolio of technology products and services.
- Own the technology product lifecycle and roadmap development through to continual improvement, replacement or decommissioning.
- Understand user needs and use data, insight and feedback to drive product enhancements.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring priorities align with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical specialists, suppliers and delivery teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Support decision-making around product investment, enhancement, replacement or decommissioning.
- Build strong relationships with users and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and managed effectively.
- Ensure products comply with security, governance, service management and regulatory requirements.
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to manage risks, performance and future service evolution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
