Up to £90,000 + Benefits

This is an exciting IT Programme Manager opportunity to join a UK-based Engineering Services organisation, responsible for delivering strategic technology transformation programmes across digital transformation, cyber security, cloud, infrastructure, enterprise applications, AI, and business change initiatives.

Role Overview

The IT Programme Manager is a hybrid role based in London, requiring in-office attendance 4 days per week during the initial probationary period, reducing to 2 days per week thereafter. Occasional travel to UK sites may also be required.

As IT Programme Manager, you will lead complex programmes of work across a diverse technology portfolio, ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives aligned to business objectives. Reporting to the Head of IT PMO, the IT Programme Manager will be hands-on, managing multiple projects and workstreams, providing strong governance, delivery leadership, financial control, and stakeholder engagement. The IT Programme Manager will work closely with Executive Leadership, Business Unit Leaders, IT teams, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, suppliers, and third-party delivery partners to drive successful programme outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex programmes across cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, enterprise applications, automation, AI, and business change.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, and programme benefits.
  • Provide strong governance, delivery leadership, financial control, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Skills

  • Proven hands-on experience delivering large-scale IT transformation programmes within complex organisations.
  • Strong experience managing multiple concurrent projects, workstreams, dependencies, risks, and budgets.
  • Experience delivering programmes across cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong governance, financial management, and executive reporting experience.
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party delivery partners.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within matrix organisations.
  • Strong understanding of programme delivery methodologies, ideally certified MSP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ERP, HRIS, CRM, ServiceNow, AI, automation, or digital workplace initiatives is desirable.
