IT Project Analyst

Derby or Bristol (Hybrid - min 3 days on site)
Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Analyst to join the team in Derby or Bristol. This role reports to the VP M&A and Programme Delivery.

The Role

The Project Analyst plays a key role in supporting the delivery team, particularly the Project Managers.

You will be responsible for working with the team to facilitate timely and accurate updates into IT PMO and the associated systems, ensuring that key stakeholders are aware of project status.

You will also work closely with the team to provide financial information relating to the creation of IT assets so that the Finance function are able to accurately account for assets and charge back to businesses.

What you will be doing:

  • Throughout the delivery phase you will support the delivery team with expertise relating to OPC, finances, and SAP.
  • At the end of a project you will work across stakeholders to ensure projects are closed in the correct manner and all remaining tasks are completed.

Accelerated Delivery: Through diligence of accurate status reporting ensuring that hazards to delivery are clearly highlighted for onward escalation and support.

Cost Optimisation: Ensures finances are accurately reported to both IT PMO and Finance function. Supports the delivery team in ensuring that costs are allocated correctly to schemes and any cross charging is enacted.

Improved Collaboration: Fosters strong collaboration between the delivery team and wider stakeholders. Providing support to the management of key processes within project and programme management.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Supports the team to maintain the integrity of reporting data. Provides data-driven insights into financial and delivery performance, enabling informed decision-making by stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement.

Who we are looking for:

  • Working towards a related professional qualification (APM) or attaining a entry level qualification (HND or Foundation Degree).

Key Experiences and any Qualifications:

  • Experience of data handling, collation and presentation with associated tools.
  • Some experience in a relevant discipline, preferably on project work (either an Integrated Project Team, or functionally based).
