IT Project Delivery Engineer – Managed Services
Wolverhampton | Onsite
£55,000 - £65,000
Our client, a growing and highly successful Managed Services Provider, is seeking an experienced IT Project Delivery Engineer to join their team in Wolverhampton.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically capable and customer-focused professional who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle, from solution design and pre-sales consultancy through to project delivery, implementation and ongoing technical support.
The role offers a unique blend of technical leadership, project management and client engagement. You will act as a senior escalation point for the Service Desk whilst leading infrastructure and cloud projects for a diverse customer base. Working closely with clients, you will help design and deliver business-critical technology solutions across Microsoft cloud and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues across the Service Desk.
- Managing and delivering infrastructure and cloud projects from initial scoping through to completion.
- Working with clients to understand business requirements and design appropriate technical solutions.
- Supporting the pre-sales process, including technical discussions, solution design and proposals.
- Delivering Microsoft 365, Azure and on-premises server projects.
- Producing technical documentation, project plans and implementation guides.
- Managing project timelines, risks and customer expectations.
- Ensuring successful project handovers into support.
- Building strong relationships with customers and becoming a trusted technical adviser.
Required Skills & Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have previous experience working within an IT support, infrastructure, professional services or managed services environment.
- Strong experience of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Experience supporting and delivering projects within Windows environments.
- A solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and cloud technologies.
- Previous experience acting as an escalation point for technical issues.
- Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
