IT Project Engineer

Location: Bristol & client sites
Salary: Up to £47k

About the opportunity

We're working with an established and growing IT Managed Service Provider that is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join its delivery team.

This isn't purely a delivery-focused or technical position. You'll need to be comfortable getting into the technical detail, working directly with clients and taking responsibility for making sure projects are delivered properly from start to finish.

Please note, this is an office and site-based role in Bristol and we can only consider local candidates with a driving licence and vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of a range of IT projects, from smaller technical changes through to larger client deployments
  • Working with clients to understand their requirements and turn them into practical technical solutions
  • Producing project plans, technical proposals, estimates, and supporting documentation
  • Overseeing project delivery, managing priorities, dependencies, budgets, and potential risks
  • Getting hands-on where required with installations, migrations, upgrades, and technical configuration
  • Working closely with engineers, service desk teams, suppliers, and third parties to keep projects moving
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout delivery and keeping stakeholders updated
  • Ensuring projects are fully documented and completed to a high standard

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
