Role: IT Project Engineer

Industry

Managed IT Services

Location

West Sussex

Salary

£40,000 to £50,000

Are you an experienced Infrastructure / IT Engineer ready to move away from repetitive support tickets and take ownership of varied technical projects?

We’re recruiting for a well-established Managed Service Provider looking to add a Projects Engineer to its growing technical team. You’ll deliver a mixture of cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, networking installations, and security projects for customers across the South East.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll manage your own technical workload, work directly with customers, and play an important part in delivering projects from planning through to completion.

What you’ll be working on

  • Microsoft 365 migrations and configuration
  • Server installations and infrastructure upgrades
  • Network, Wi-Fi, and firewall deployments
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Endpoint security and MFA rollouts
  • Virtualisation projects
  • Customer site installations
  • Technical documentation and project handovers

You’ll work alongside the Projects Manager to plan delivery, manage timescales, and provide clear progress updates. You’ll also identify potential issues early and ensure project records and documentation remain accurate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
