Role: IT Project Management – Trading & Supply

Location: London – 5 days on-site

Start Date: September 2026

End Date: 31st December 2026

Daily Rate: Inside IR35

This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte Operations for an engagement with one of our clients.

The Role

The Project Manager will lead the definition, mobilisation and delivery of a strategic Global Supply & Demand transformation initiative within Trading & Supply.

The role is accountable for shaping the future operating model, driving global process standardisation, developing business and investment cases, establishing governance, and delivering business value through successful implementation. Working with senior business and IT stakeholders globally, the Project Manager will lead discovery activities, define scope and strategy, establish delivery roadmaps, and manage execution in accordance with the client's Project Delivery Framework (PDF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery, strategy and mobilisation activities for the Global Supply & Demand programme.
  • Assess current processes, operating models, organisational structures, data and technology capabilities.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for global process harmonisation and standardisation.
  • Define programme objectives, scope, success measures, roadmap and delivery approach.
  • Develop business cases, investment cases, benefits assessments and executive recommendations.
  • Establish and manage programme governance, reporting, assurance and decision-making forums.
  • Plan, execute and control project delivery, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks and dependencies.
  • Apply Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies as appropriate.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams across business, technology and third-party suppliers.
  • Build strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders globally.
  • Drive organisational change, communications and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Ensure delivery of agreed business outcomes within approved cost, schedule, quality and benefits targets.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience leading large-scale business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience defining and implementing global operating models.
  • Experience delivering enterprise process standardisation and harmonisation programmes.
  • Strong discovery, assessment, strategy and mobilisation experience.
  • Track record of developing business cases and investment proposals.
  • Exceptional senior stakeholder management, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Strong programme and project management capability, including governance, change control, risk management and reporting.
  • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and external suppliers.
  • Strong financial management, planning, budgeting and tracking skills.
  • Experience delivering technology-enabled business transformation programmes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and resilience skills.

Highly Desirable Experience

  • Trading & Supply experience.
  • Supply & Demand, Trading, Commercial, Planning or Supply Chain domain knowledge.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks, PDX and Azure-based solutions.
  • Experience leading data-enabled business transformation programmes.
  • Experience establishing programme governance and organisational change management frameworks.
  • Experience operating in large global matrix organisations.

Mandatory Skills

  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP or equivalent).
  • Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Project governance and delivery assurance.
  • Vendor management.
  • Scoping, budgeting, planning and tracking.
  • Risk assessment and management.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Financial management.
  • Presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of cloud, digital platforms, SaaS and data-driven solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in IT, programme or project management.
  • Proven experience delivering increasingly complex programmes and transformations.
  • Strong storytelling and strategic thinking capability.
