IT Project Manager
Newport/Hybrid
Circa £70,000
CPS Group are working with a leading organisation in a complex and highly regulated environment that is looking to appoint an experienced IT Project Manager to join its Cyber Security Programme.
This is a key role responsible for managing and delivering a range of technology, change and cyber security projects as part of a significant multi-year programme.
You’ll take ownership of projects from initial definition through to successful delivery, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, business sponsors, IT teams and third-party suppliers, managing multiple requirements and priorities while ensuring strong governance and project reporting throughout.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and delivering IT, technology and cyber security projects end-to-end
- Developing project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables
- Managing project risks, issues, dependencies and budgets
- Working with and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Managing third-party suppliers and vendor relationships
- Matrix-managing resources across the organisation
- Ensuring appropriate governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Developing project adoption and change management plans
- Supporting training, transition and handover into BAU
- Managing projects across a range of contractual and commercial environments

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager who can demonstrate:
- Strong experience delivering complex IT projects from initiation through to completion
- Experience working within a complex, regulated environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial, contractual and supplier management experience
- Experience working within or alongside Cyber Security / Cyber Resilience environments
- Experience working in a largely outsourced environment would be beneficial
- Previous experience within the utilities sector is desirable

Qualifications
- Degree-level education or equivalent
- PRINCE2 or PMP qualification
- Relevant practitioner-level project management qualification
- ITIL experience/qualification would be advantageous
- Knowledge of Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) regulations would be highly desirable
- Experience within a Cyber Resilience setting would be highly desirable
