Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT / Technology Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex technology and systems projects.
The role is responsible for managing projects from initial requirements and planning through to delivery and close-out, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, to the required quality and in line with customer requirements.
You will work closely with technical, engineering, commercial and business teams, as well as customers and external suppliers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects through the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and delivery milestones.
- Manage project scope, requirements, dependencies, risks, issues and change.
- Monitor project performance against cost, schedule, quality and delivery objectives.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
- Lead multidisciplinary technical and engineering teams.
- Coordinate internal teams, customers, suppliers and external delivery partners.
- Provide clear project reporting to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
- Identify and manage project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Manage change control and ensure impacts on cost, schedule and scope are understood.
- Support requirements definition, solution development and delivery planning.
- Contribute to bids, proposals, estimates and pricing where required.
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate governance, processes and controls are maintained throughout delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and team performance.

Qualifications
- Relevant project management qualifications such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
Essential skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex IT, technology, systems or engineering projects.
- Experience managing projects across the full lifecycle.
- Strong experience in project planning, scheduling, risk and change management.
- Experience managing budgets, costs and financial forecasts.
- Experience working with technical or multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder and customer management skills.
- Experience managing suppliers or third-party delivery partners.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against challenging deadlines.
- Experience working within structured project governance and reporting environments.
Desired skills
- Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
