IT Project Manager (SC Cleared) – Bristol

6 month contract - 4 days a week onsite in North Bristol

We're recruiting for an experienced IT Project Manager with an active SC Clearance, to support a leading high-tech defence organisation in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced programme environment, delivering critical IT infrastructure projects that underpin secure defence operations.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Driving project governance and ensuring project milestones and timelines are met.

  • Working closely with infrastructure engineers, architects, security specialists, and business stakeholders, you'll oversee the successful delivery of enterprise infrastructure projects, ensuring technical solutions are implemented with minimal operational impact.

If you have experience working to Secure by Design principles, this will be highly beneficial, helping ensure security considerations are embedded from project initiation through to implementation. Experience delivering secure infrastructure within regulated or security-conscious environments is highly desirable.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience delivering complex IT infrastructure projects within enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrable experience driving project milestones, managing dependencies, and ensuring successful delivery against agreed schedules.
  • Strong project governance experience, including RAID management, reporting, change control, and executive stakeholder communication.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, VMware, and virtualised infrastructure.
  • Experience delivering projects involving server infrastructure, enterprise storage, and data centre technologies.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft infrastructure technologies, and networking principles.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and third-party suppliers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, planning, budgeting, and risk management skills.
  • Experience delivering projects using Waterfall and/or PRINCE2 methodologies.

Desirable

  • Experience applying or delivering projects aligned with Secure by Design principles.
  • Experience within Defence, Aerospace, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Microsoft Azure or hybrid cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Experience working within secure or classified environments.
