Job Title: IT Project Network Engineer

Location: Loughborough (Hybrid)
Salary: up to £50,000

We are working with a leading organisation who are looking for an IT Project Network Engineer to support a major network transformation programme. This is a great opportunity to join a strategic project, take technical ownership of network deployments and work across multiple sites delivering a new standardised WAN and LAN infrastructure.

The Role:

  • Deliver the implementation and rollout of a standardised WAN and LAN solution across multiple business locations, working closely with the Project Manager to deliver against agreed milestones.
  • Assess existing network environments, identify technical requirements and lead network deployment, migration, upgrade and cutover activities.
  • Configure, deploy and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless solutions and connectivity services.
  • Act as the technical lead for network deployment and migration activities, providing expert guidance to internal teams, stakeholders, suppliers and third parties.
  • Conduct network testing, validation and post-implementation support while maintaining detailed technical documentation, migration plans and as-built designs.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Network Engineer, Senior Network Engineer, Network Consultant or similar infrastructure-focused role, ideally delivering enterprise network projects across multiple locations.
  • Strong experience across WAN, LAN, wireless networking, routing, switching and network security.
  • Proven experience delivering network migrations, technology refreshes, site rollouts and infrastructure standardisation programmes, including developing migration and cutover plans.
  • Experience working alongside Project Managers, managing third-party suppliers and delivering technical workstreams through formal change management and governance processes.
