Job Opportunity: IT Regular (SEO) - For Pooling Purposes

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Regular (SEO) - For Pooling Purposes based in United Kingdom.

This remote opportunity is designed for an SEO/SEM professional who can improve organic visibility while maximizing the performance of paid search campaigns.

  • Own key SEO activities spanning keyword strategy, content optimization, technical SEO, analytics, and link building.
  • Manage PPC initiatives, budgets, performance tracking, and ROI optimization across major search platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with development, editorial, and marketing teams to ensure search best practices are embedded across digital experiences.
  • Combine data analysis, experimentation, competitive research, and hands-on optimization to drive measurable acquisition results.

The position offers a flexible remote environment with ongoing guidance, training, and opportunities to strengthen your digital marketing expertise.

Accountabilities

  • Manage SEO and SEM activities, including content strategy, keyword research, technical optimization, link building, and paid search campaigns.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and optimize PPC campaigns across major search advertising platforms to maximize ROI and acquisition performance.
  • Analyze website analytics, paid search performance, campaign results, and market trends to identify actionable insights and optimization opportunities.
  • Manage campaign budgets, estimate monthly costs, monitor spending, and address discrepancies to maintain financial efficiency.
  • Optimize website copy, landing pages, content, site architecture, internal linking, and other SEO factors to improve rankings for target keywords.
  • Conduct ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and refinement based on search performance and business priorities.
  • Research competitors, including their advertising strategies and search positioning, to identify opportunities and inform campaign decisions.
  • Develop and execute link-building strategies that strengthen organic visibility and authority.
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to improve search performance, conversion rates, and customer acquisition outcomes.
  • Work with development teams to ensure newly developed code and website functionality follow SEO best practices and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to incorporate SEO principles into content creation and programming.
  • Stay current with changes to search engine algorithms, ranking factors, SEO trends, SEM practices, and performance marketing techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience in SEO, with a strong understanding of organic search optimization and search engine ranking factors.
  • Demonstrated SEM experience, including managing PPC campaigns across platforms such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, conversion optimization, and online customer acquisition.
  • Hands-on experience with website analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, or WebTrends.
  • Experience using bid management and PPC optimization tools such as Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, or Search Ignite.
  • Practical experience designing and interpreting A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including an understanding of how development choices can affect SEO.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and insights, and translate findings into effective optimization strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices, with a commitment to staying informed about evolving search algorithms and industry trends.
  • Analytical, test-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • A BS/MS degree in a quantitative or test-driven field is preferred.
