IT Reporting Analyst | Belfast | Hybrid Working | Permanent | £35,000–£40,000 + Benefits
About The Role
Are you good with data, Excel and reporting – and able to turn a mass of information into something people can actually understand and use?
We’re looking for an IT Reporting Analyst to join an established technology business in Belfast, supporting the delivery of services across a major healthcare environment.
This is a hands-on reporting role where you’ll work with operational data, build dashboards, track service performance and provide the insight that helps teams make better decisions.
You’ll be working with data from ServiceNow, using Power BI and Excel to identify trends, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and turn complex information into clear, meaningful reporting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Extracting and analysing data covering incidents, tickets, assets and changes
- Creating and maintaining dashboards and management reports
- Using Power BI to turn operational data into clear visual insights
- Monitoring KPIs, SLA performance, service trends and potential issues
- Producing regular weekly and monthly performance reports
- Cleaning, transforming and validating data to ensure reporting is accurate
- Investigating trends and anomalies within operational data
- Working closely with Service Management and technical teams
- Presenting information in a way that's clear and useful to non-technical stakeholders
- Helping continually improve the quality and effectiveness of reporting

What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a deeply technical IT specialist, but you will need to be analytical, comfortable working with data and extremely accurate.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookup functions
- Experience producing regular management or operational reports
- Confidence analysing large sets of data and identifying trends
- Experience creating dashboards or visual reports
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- The ability to explain numbers and trends clearly to stakeholders
- Good organisation and the ability to work to regular reporting deadlines

Particularly Useful
Experience with any of the following would be a real advantage:
- Power BI
- ServiceNow or another service/ticketing platform
- IT service reporting
- SLA and KPI reporting
- ITIL or IT service management environments
- Reporting within managed services
You could currently be working as a Reporting Analyst, MI Analyst, Data Analyst, Service Reporting Analyst, Performance Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.
What matters most is that you're comfortable getting into the detail, understand what the data is telling you and can turn it into reporting that people can act on.
