IT Resilience / Business Continuity Specialist

CCL Global are currently recruiting for an IT Resilience / Business Continuity Specialist to support a major UK infrastructure organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join a critical technology environment, helping ensure essential IT services remain operational and can recover quickly following incidents such as cyber attacks, system failures, or major outages.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and improving resilience strategies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity processes. You will work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to identify risks, test recovery procedures, and improve the organisation’s ability to respond to disruptions.

Contract Type: 6 Month Contract
Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Support risk assessments and Business Impact Analysis activities.
  • Identify potential threats and create recovery strategies.
  • Plan and support disaster recovery and resilience testing exercises.
  • Review IT systems and processes to improve resilience.
  • Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure critical services are protected.
  • Provide guidance and support on operational resilience and continuity planning.
  • Produce reports and recommendations to improve recovery capability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or IT Resilience.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, or testing recovery plans.
  • Understanding of risk management and Business Impact Assessments.
  • Knowledge of resilience frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience working within technology-driven or critical environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ISO 22301, ISO 27001, or ITIL.
  • Background within critical infrastructure, transport, defence, government, utilities, banking, or similar sectors.
  • Experience supporting cyber resilience or operational resilience activities.
