JOB TITLE: IT Sales Executive

SALARY: Up to £28,000 basic + commission

LOCATION: Reading, UK – 4 days per week in the office

Our client is a well-established technology solutions provider supporting organisations across both the public and private sectors. We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven IT Sales Executive to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, winning new business and growing existing accounts, and who wants to develop a long-term career within the technology sector.

JOB SPECIFICATION: IT Sales Executive

Sales & Account Management

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers to identify new opportunities, build relationships and convert prospects into active accounts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts, developing strong and long-lasting relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to grow and develop existing customer accounts.

Quoting & Pipeline Management

  • Prepare accurate and timely quotes based on customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities and progress are accurately recorded.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts to support wider business planning.

CRM & Sales Campaigns

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information within the CRM system.
  • Deliver targeted sales campaigns in line with vendor promotions and customer requirements.
  • Proactively follow up on opportunities, quotes and customer enquiries.

REQUIREMENTS: IT Sales Executive

The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys speaking to people and building strong customer relationships. This is a proactive, high-volume sales environment, so you will need to be confident on the phone, resilient and motivated by developing new business.

In addition, we are looking for:

  • At least one year’s experience in a sales role, either within the IT channel or another B2B-focused sector.
  • Confidence conducting outbound calls and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience using CRM software; Salesforce experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
  • A proactive and tenacious approach to sales.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within technology sales.
