IT SAP Business Partner – Distribution & Supply Chain

Location: Bolton
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum

The Role

We are looking for an experienced IT SAP Business Partner to join a growing Applications Team, supporting the Distribution and Supply Chain function.

This is a key business-facing technology role, working closely with operational stakeholders to understand business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and shape effective technology solutions.

The successful candidate will combine strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills with a good understanding of SAP, business processes and solution design. This is an opportunity for an experienced IT Business Partner or Senior Business Analyst to take ownership of technology-led improvement initiatives and play a key role in delivering business change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the key IT Business Partner for Distribution, Logistics and Supply Chain
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders at all levels
  • Understand business processes, operational challenges and future requirements
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and technology enablement
  • Translate business needs into effective technology solutions
  • Shape and support SAP-led solutions across the business
  • Work across the full solution lifecycle, including requirements, solution design, testing and implementation
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, technical teams and third-party suppliers
  • Support the delivery of projects and business change initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement across business processes and applications
  • Provide challenge and guidance to stakeholders to ensure technology solutions deliver business value

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working as an IT Business Partner, Senior Business Analyst or similar business-facing technology role
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC
  • Experience within Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar operational environment
  • Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can support improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience translating business requirements into practical technology solutions
  • Experience contributing to or managing solution design, testing and implementation
  • Experience working with third-party technology providers and project teams
  • A proactive and commercially-focused approach to technology and business improvement
