Job Purpose

At Kyowa Kirin International, we're looking for a talented Security Engineer to help enhance and defend our enterprise network, data centre, and cloud environments. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside infrastructure and security teams to reduce cyber risk, improve resilience, and respond to evolving threats.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimise security controls across network and cloud environments.
  • Manage and improve firewall, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Identify security weaknesses and drive remediation activities.
  • Support incident response and security investigations.
  • Improve infrastructure logging, monitoring, and threat detection capabilities.
  • Partner with global teams to strengthen security standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in Security Engineering, Network Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, networking, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management.
  • Experience securing enterprise infrastructure and virtualised environments.
  • Understanding of cyber attack techniques and defensive controls.
  • Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS is desirable.
  • Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, etc.) is a plus.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a security-first mindset and strong collaboration skills.

Salary range: between GBP £33,971.00/Yr. and GBP £50,956.00/Yr.
