Role Overview

We’re representing a global quantitative trading organisation hiring a Security Specialist into the team responsible for protecting its internal computing environment. The position sits between security engineering and security operations, with a particular focus on Windows platforms, endpoint protection and the practical delivery of security controls across a large-scale technology estate.

This is broader than a narrowly defined Windows security specialist position. The engineer will contribute across vulnerability management, endpoint security, incident response and operational security, while working directly with infrastructure and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve how controls are implemented. It offers significant technical exposure without requiring somebody who is already operating as a senior security architect, infrastructure security Tech Lead or highly specialised Windows security engineer. Strong practical security knowledge, good technical judgement and a solid foundation in scripting are more important than advanced software engineering or code-review experience...

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
