SALARY: From to £35,983.00 pa dependent on experience

LOCATION: Milton Keynes

HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

We’re looking for an IT Security Operations Analyst to play a pivotal role in protecting our organisation by identifying, assessing and managing information security risks, while helping to strengthen our overall cyber security strategy.

In this fast paced role, you'll lead key security controls through our Information Security Management System (ISMS), champion Privileged Access Management, and drive best practice across CyberArk and access governance within a robust Three Lines of Defence framework.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles, including vulnerability management, malware protection, networking, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, operating systems (Windows, UNIX, Linux), and SIEM tools.
  • Experience within Information Security, Risk Management, Security Controls, or IT Operations.
  • Proven knowledge of risk and security management frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience with CyberArk or other Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and resolve security issues.
  • Organised, methodical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Tenacious and proactive problem solver in your approach to strengthening security controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, you can engage effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resilient and can perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Experience of handling admin associated with ISO27001 would be a great advantage.

What you'll be doing:

  • Proactively monitor and strengthen cyber security controls to detect threats, prevent unauthorised access, and identify indicators of compromise.
  • Manage and enhance Privileged Access Management (PAM) controls, ensuring compliance with Group standards and CyberArk governance requirements.
  • Own CyberArk safe inventory compliance, reporting on utilisation and adherence to internal policies.
  • Conduct security monitoring, threat analysis, and vulnerability assessments using specialist tools and third-party expertise.
  • Support cyber incident response, investigations, escalation management, and forensic activities to minimise risk and identify root causes.
  • Lead penetration testing programmes to uncover vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
  • Drive remediation activities, including patching, system upgrades, configuration changes, and security improvements across the business.
  • Develop and maintain security monitoring procedures, controls documentation, and audit evidence.
  • Produce meaningful KPI/KRI reporting to provide visibility of cyber risk and security performance.
  • Contribute to Information Security policies, IT Risk frameworks, and the continual improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Advise on security best practices and recommend enhancements to strengthen the organisation's security posture.
  • Deliver engaging security awareness training to embed a strong security culture across the business.
