IT Service Desk Manager
London | £70,000 - £85,000 | Permanent | 4 days per week in the office
You're an experienced IT Service Desk professional who has spent the last few years leading a team and is now looking for the opportunity to take full ownership of a service desk?
We’re working with a growing business that's looking for an IT Service Desk Manager to take ownership of its internal service desk, develop the team and help shape the next stage of its development.
The Role
The business already has a strong technical team in place, but the service desk is at a point where it now needs a more structured, proactive, and high-performing function.
You’ll take overall responsibility for the internal IT service desk, leading a core team of around four permanent employees.
A key part of the role will be developing the team, improving processes and introducing a more proactive, data-driven approach to service delivery. You’ll have the opportunity to shape how the service desk operates and ensure the business continues to receive a consistently high standard of IT support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
