About the Role

At Sensient Technologies, we are looking for a customer service focused front-line IT Service Desk Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes to provide end-user support to a global user base. As a Service Desk Engineer, you will make an impact on employee productivity by resolving technical issues efficiently, escalating to other IT teams, and thoroughly communicating updates.

What you’ll do

  • This role focuses on highly professional end-user satisfaction and blends technical problem-solving with exceptional customer service/communication skills.
  • Act as a liaison between service desk and other business units and provide status of progress to the customer, facilitating clear and consistent communication.
  • Ensure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention and serve as a point of contact for technical support, resolving a wide range of IT issues throughout the organisation.
  • Resolve problems related to desktop computers, laptops, printers, copiers, scanners, software applications, etc.
  • Identify emerging trends and issues, and make suggestions for technical solutions to solve current and possible future problems.
  • Participate in local and global projects led by various teams in IT, which includes new deployments and testing of new solutions.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in a Service Desk or IT support role, with previous experience in a global 24x7 technical team supporting applications and hardware in office, lab, and manufacturing environments.
  • Working experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365 and ServiceNow).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively with high attention to detail, documentation, and follow-through.
  • Strong technical background with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • English as a primary language, multilingual preferred.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to participate in after-hours and on-call work rotations.
