Profile Summary
Lead and develop the IT Service Governance function, ensuring it provides effective governance, oversight and control across IT services, service agreements, recharge arrangements and governance obligations.
The role is responsible for defining what good looks like in service governance, establishing consistent governance frameworks and ensuring services, agreements and governance artefacts are managed in a controlled, auditable and efficient manner. Working closely with Service Owners, Finance, Legal, Tax, Risk and Audit, the role will improve governance maturity, strengthen accountability and provide consolidated management information to support leadership decision-making.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the IT Service Governance function, operating model and services.
- Define and embed best practice across service governance, service reviews and governance controls.
- Own the Service Governance Framework, standards, templates and procedures.
- Maintain oversight of the Service Catalogue, SLAs, service schedules and governance documentation.
- Establish and maintain governance over Cost Contribution Agreements (CCAs) and recharge arrangements.
- Coordinate governance forums, service reviews and governance action tracking.
- Drive improvements in service governance maturity, ownership clarity and accountability.
- Support audit, regulatory and assurance activities through robust governance processes and evidence management.
- Produce governance dashboards, management information and executive reporting.
- Influence stakeholders and drive adoption of consistent governance standards across the IT organisation.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Proven experience establishing or operating governance frameworks within IT environments.
- Strong understanding of service governance, service management and control frameworks.
- Experience managing service catalogues, SLAs and governance documentation.
- Experience supporting audit, risk and regulatory activities.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across IT, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Risk functions.
Key Behaviours and Competencies
- Strong reporting and management information capabilities.
- Demonstrable track record of improving governance effectiveness and organisational maturity.
The successful candidate will bring experience from mature governance environments and will be expected to raise standards, strengthen controls, improve accountability and deliver lasting improvements across IT service governance, service agreements, recharge governance and governance reporting.
