IT Service Recovery Plan Consultant – Outside IR35
Duration: 6 months Contract (view to extend)
Location: Osterley, West London.
Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite
Rate: £500–£570/day (Outside IR35)
We are looking for a Disaster Recovery / Service Recovery Consultant to join a major telco environment, building technical recovery plans across a large on-premise IT estate (260 service groups).
What you'll be doing:
- Running workshops with service owners and SMEs to extract how each system would be rebuilt from scratch - infrastructure, application config, integrations, then data restore
- Turning those conversations into clear, testable recovery plans
- Capturing RTO/RPO, backup frequency, dependencies and failover/failback detail
- Building reusable plan templates to speed up delivery across the estate

What we need:
- Real hands-on experience with true disaster recovery / service rebuild - not just backup administration or runbook maintenance.
- Strong facilitation skills - you can run a room of SMEs and pull a straight answer out of them.
- Comfortable talking to both engineers and business/BCM stakeholders in their own language.
- Broad infrastructure exposure (VMware/vCenter, Oracle, Linux).
- Excellent technical writing and a self-directed, high-output way of working.
